The Aragonese Court of Arbitration and Mediation promotes the inclusion of new professional associations to foster the culture of arbitration and mediation

The Aragonese Court of Arbitration and Mediation is undertaking an initiative aimed at the inclusion of new professional associations, including the recently added College of Civil Engineers, Channels, and Ports. The primary purpose of this drive is to promote and strengthen the culture of arbitration and mediation.

In this context, the Court seeks to increase its utilization by companies and other entities, with the aim of resolving disputes extrajudicially. It emphasizes the importance of including mediation clauses in private contracts as a mechanism to facilitate conflict resolution among the involved parties.

Established 15 years ago as a regional body for conflict resolution and composed of various professionals, the Aragonese Court of Arbitration and Mediation has seen growth with the inclusion of professional associations such as the College of Industrial Engineers of Aragon and La Rioja, the College of Economists of Aragon, the Professional College of Computer Engineers of Aragon, and the College of Property Administrators of Aragon.

Founded in 2008 by the Council of Bar Associations of Aragon, the Notarial College of the Community, and the Aragonese Council of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the Court's fundamental objective is the promotion and dissemination of the culture of arbitration and mediation, encouraging the use of alternative means for conflict resolution.
